Austria/Hungary 100 Coronas?

Are the Austria/Hungary 100 Corona coins pre-1933 or are they modern restrikes of an old pre-WWI design??

Thanks, Bill

They are 1915 restrikes and about 96% of a gold ounce at that.

I picked up 10 when gold was low and they were the only thing available: one could send them to a "slabber" and sell them on EBAY later - one could!

Frankly as history they show one of the Throne biggies to fall in WWI plus there was Russian Throne and the Prussia/German Throne.

Emulated by the thought provoking "Fall of th Eagles" 1970s DVD mini-series which is somewhat chilling right now seeing the rhyme in America. :ok:

Sorry. :signs14:

The Hungarian Koronas are 1908 restrikes and is a much more beautiful coin on the reverse side.
If you have a choice between Austrians or Hungarian Koronas; pick the Hungarian because it's much rarer.
